Bilingual and bicultural, Laura was born in Tijuana, B.C., Mexico. She graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from the Iberoamericana University and has an associate’s degree in Arts and Design from Southwestern College in Chula Vista, California, United States. She has more than 35 years of experience in graphic design, marketing and strategic communication, specializing in corporate image and project management.
Laura has been a promoter of the positive side of Tijuana throughout her entire professional career. Since 2011, Laura has held several key roles at Tijuana Innovadora, where she currently is the Director of Binational Affairs, member of the Board of Directors, and coordinator of the Fund Procurement Team. She is also part of different binational organizations, such as Wildcoast, COBRO, SANDAG, and the Binational Committee of the South County Economic Development Council.
