Eduardo Gurría was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and graduated as a Civil Engineer at the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN).

Encouraged by his parents, Eduardo demonstrated a deep interest for the arts and became convinced about the importance of art in human’s lives at an early age. As the Director of Arte en la Industria of Tijuana Innovadora, Eduardo has the opportunity to offer art to communities that are less likely to have access to it. Under Eduardo’s management, this program places more than 100 annual exhibitions at different places throughout Tijuana such as schools, companies and public buildings. Under Eduardo’s leadership, Arte en la Industria has the capacity to have 25 simultaneous exhibitions in Tijuana, throughout the state of Baja California, and the United States.
