Alejandro Fernando Bustamante Gutierrez was born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, and is a distinguished member of a family of businessmen with a long tradition in the border city.
He attended elementary school at Colegio La Paz and Instituto Mexico, and also attended high school at Instituto Mexico. He attended high school at Universidad Latinoamericana, while he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Universidad La Salle in Mexico City. He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, and has completed business and manufacturing degrees from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and Harvard University.
He currently serves as executive vice president of international operations and president of Plamex at Poly, has more than 25 years of executive experience in operations management, and has earned awards in areas such as quality, labor, corporate social responsibility, logistics, technology, manufacturing, human resources and environmental sustainability.
Alejandro Bustamante is one of the founding members of Tijuana Innovadora and a distinguished member of the Tijuana Walk of Fame.
